Family

I don't think you'all realize how thankful we really are for our family. Yes, maybe you just want to hit your brother so hard he gets a black eye or pull your sister's hair so hard that her hair falls out. But you know what? God made your family exactly the way he wanted it to be. Yes, your family is going to make needed changes in order to thrive as a family and yes, your family will have many flaws. But that doesn't stop you from not loving them. God had your family perfectly planned out even before he put your parents together. You really just have to stop and realize and go - WOW! God is all knowing and all powerful beyond what we can see or understand.

Doesn't it hurt when a loved one is pulled away from your outstretched arms? I felt that feeling in 2010. I was little then but I understood what was happening. My grandpa was slowly dying from cancer and there was nothing we or the doctors could do. It was hard for everyone in my family. To see someone suffer and go through all that pain. It was unbearable.

Do you know what? God is with us every step of the way. It may not always be easy and yes, sometimes it is really hard to trust God but he says so in his Word that he will keep us safe and he will be with us. We are sinful guys.

Life has its up's and down's, its stumbling blocks, but with God, travel the safe path towards him. Don't fight against him, towards Satan. Every minute of your life Satan is tempting you to follow him. Don't listen to him, resist him. Our hearts know what's right.

Anytime during the day just thank your parents or your siblings for the little or big things they do for you. For example, just say out of the blue - Thanks dad or mom for working so hard to provide for our family. It's the little things that count and make the difference.

Anytime you feel like God is hurting your family for good by taking away a family member too soon or for any other reason just remember that God has great things in store for you and your family. You may not realize it but God does. Did you know that even though you feel like God is breaking your family apart he is actually mending it and making it stronger?

Isn't it just amazing how awesome our God is? And can be? Actually, it's so hard to imagine because words can't even describe it. Even the smartest people on this earth can't explain it, only the Truth can - the Bible.
