Introducing little Miss Kendra Grace Steinbach

Of all days for our internet connection to not work, it would have been yesterday when we had such great news to share with you.  But here it is today!!

We headed to the Civil Affairs Bureau at 2:30 today.  Around 3:00 Kendra was given to us!  It's so hard to describe in words what it feels like but probably the same feelings a mother/father have after giving birth.
She did amazing!  The orphanage director put her down on the floor and we very gently approached her and she was never scared.  She started to wimper and I picked her up and she immediately stopped.
Isaiah was making goofy faces at her and she smiled and we even got a couple giggles.  You could tell already that she's going to love all the attention from her siblings.  Her big sisters think the world of her!  And Elijah actually likes her and hasn't acted jealous at all!!

The orphanage director couldn't believe she didn't make any fuss.  They actually felt bad that she so willingly came to us.  We prayed so much during this past year about the transitions for the kids, and He obviously chose to answer our prayers by preparing little Kendra's heart for us.

Todd and I are very fond of the orphanage director.  In Chinese she told our guide that we both looked so young!  ;)

Kendra's lip repair looks so good.  Her palate is larger than I expected and I'm amazed at how well she can eat and drink with a huge hole in the roof of her mouth.  Her spine looks very normal to us and we're wondering if she really does have scoliosis.  Her ear "problem" that didn't translate, is just a little bump in front of her ear - no big deal!  How blessed we are!

Thanks for your prayers, we greatly appreciate it!

We waited almost a year to hold her and I'm still in awe that today, she's ours!

Just look at that beautiful smile!!  She loves her Cheerios and her Daddy!
